Who we are
Our vision is simple
At New Key, our vision is simple: to engage each individual we support in unlocking their potential and turning their dreams and aspirations into reality.
New Key was established in 2009 with a specific focus on supporting adults with learning disabilities and other needs. We operate in the South West of England, providing individualised support to over 100 adults in their journey towards building the life they desire.
We are driven by our four highest values:
- Integrity
- We value integrity as a fundamental principle. We encourage individuals to be self-aware, accountable, responsible, and truthful in their actions. By fostering integrity, we build an environment of trust and dependability. People with integrity can be relied upon to act consistently and ethically.
- Equality
- We recognise and respect the uniqueness of every individual we support. We believe that everyone deserves to have their valuable differences acknowledged and embraced. We promote a culture of inclusivity and ensure that equality is upheld in all aspects of our support and interactions.
- Learning and Development
- We are committed to creating a culture that promotes continuous learning and development. This applies to both the individuals we support and our staff members. We provide opportunities and resources for personal and professional growth, enabling people to acquire new skills, knowledge, and experiences. By valuing learning and development, we empower individuals to reach their full potential.
- Social Integration
- Social integration is a vital aspect of our work. We understand that meaningful connections and relationships contribute to a sense of belonging and fulfilment. We support individuals in developing romantic partnerships, friendships, and family connections. We acknowledge and address emotions, intimacy, and the importance of having a diverse circle of support. By promoting social integration, we encourage individuals to actively participate in different social groups and communities.
